“In its expedition to break the box office record of Avatar, Avengers: Endgame will be re-releasing in theatres with new shots. It’s been more than 2 months since the initial release and the film has lost most of its momentum and is near to break the all-time record of Avatar.
However, the small path is bit difficult for the Marvel creation. Thus, with a sheer aim to break Avatar’s box office record, Avengers will re-release in theatres with people’s favorite Spider-Man Far From Home along with some additional footage that didn’t make it into the official cut in April.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, who confirmed that “Avengers: Endgame” was heading back to the big screen for a theatrical re-release. Additionally, this version of the film will come with extra scenes that weren’t included in the first theatrical release.
Feige said of a re-release with new footage, “We are doing that.” He added, “I don’t know if it’s been announced, and I don’t know how much… Yeah, we’re doing it next weekend.”
Thus, behold as the Avengers Endgame is coming back to a big screen near you with new footage, which is an incredibly exciting announcement considering the buzz around the movie. What’s even more interesting thing is the fact that the film is arriving next weekend. Therefore, fans can taste it again before Spider-Man: Far From Home.
This should also help the Marvel blockbuster to tackle the immense box office hurdle that is James Cameron’s “Avatar.”
Till date, Avatar still holds the all-time global box office record with USD 2.78 billion. Avengers: Endgame is very close to that number, with a current total of USD 2.74 billion. It has been predicted that the final chapter of the Avengers Saga wouldn’t be able to surpass Cameron’s sci-fi epic, but perhaps a re-release with new footage could do some trick.
