Highlights:
- Moto Razr Brings Back the legacy Motorola Razr folding design with a 6.2-inch OLED panel
- Comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 710SoC and 16MP sensor
- Priced at $1500
If you had used the Motorola Razr in the past, then this news must be of interest to you.
Motorola recently revived the iconic Moto Razr as a foldable smartphone with a vertical folding mechanism. The innovative design is compact as against the book-like horizontal folding designs seen so far.
Here are some interesting features of new Moto Razr 2019
Display
When unfolded, the main display screen is a 6.2-inch OLED panel with an aspect ratio of 21:9. The screen is uniform and doesn’t show it has a fold in between.
After folding, there is a secondary screen of 2.7-inches. It is an LCD display, which shows notifications. The secondary screen is the only way one can take selfies as the phone has only one camera sensor on the back.
Design
With a foldable design, the phone houses a thick chin at the bottom. The chin has fingerprint sensor on it and a speaker grill and USB-C type port for charging below.
Camera and Processor:
Motorola Razr is packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 710SoC.
The camera section has a single 16MP sensor. The company has explained that the choice of the processor had to do with the battery life and they would have had to change the whole design all over to accommodate a larger battery.
Price:
The Moto Razr foldable device is being priced at $1,500. The phone will be available for pre-orders in the US through Verizon, starting in the last week of December. The physical deliveries will start in January 2020. There is no clarity if one can pick an unlocked phone from outside as well.
Future Scope:
Taking advantage of old Moto Razr popularity, Motorola has launched foldable Moto Razr with a kind of higher price. However, it is interesting to see how the new look and premium-futuristic design will impact the current smartphone market across the world.
