Ford’s Upcoming Electric SUV gets its Official Name as Mustang Mach-E

Highlights:

  • The All-New Mustang-inspired SUV by Ford is all Electric
  • Considered as the Biggest Rival of Tesla Model Y

The Ford Mustang Mach-E electric SUV will be revealed on Sunday, November 17th 2019, ahead of the Los Angeles motor show.

Ford also announced that it will begin the bookings for the Mustang Mach-E in the US and Europe, immediately after the launch.

The first unit of buyers will be offered the option of a First Edition model. However, full prices haven’t been announced yet.

Globally, the Mustang Mach-E is expected to hit the roads in 2020. The car in Los Angeles will be a production model rather than a concept.

During early development, the new model was given the “Mach 1” tag because of strong public opinion against the use of the branding that’s historically reserved for Mustangs. But, Ford has now officially decided to combine both as Mustang Mach-E.

Ford has also officially said that the electric SUV will be capable of 595km of WLTP-certified range on a single charge. In the coming days, a less expensive version of Mustang Mach-E with lower battery capacity and range is also expected.
