May be Powered by the Magna EV platform

The Vision-S will be powered by a “newly-designed EV platform” which may have been engineered by automotive supplier Magna. Sony claims that it will be able to power other vehicle types, like SUVs.

Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida said, “This prototype embodies our contribution to the future of mobility”.

The outside of the vehicle has some strong Porsche-like look, especially around the headlights, and the side profile somewhat reminds you of the Tesla Model S.

Interior of the Vision-S features a long dashboard-spanning touch-screen similar to that Chinese EV startup Byton is putting in its cars, with screens for rear-seat passengers in the headrests.

The company announced the car at end of its CES press conference while also unveiled the logo for the upcoming PlayStation 5. The tech-giant spent only some minutes discussing the car before ending the press conference, which heightened the curiosity among people.
